How Does the Invisalign System Work?
Invisalign® starts with a visit to our office where we will take impressions of your teeth for creating a 3D model. Your teeth’s moldings are then sent to a dental technician that will work with us to create a digital treatment plan. Our doctors will customize a full plan for each patient based on their bite and corrective needs. The plan is then shipped to a lab where your entire course of aligners are custom fabricated to fit your precise moldings. These aligners are then shipped back to our office and the doctor will provide you with them upon your next visit. Each aligner should be worn for a course of about 2 weeks. You will then need to visit our offices roughly once every two months for checkups.

Every smile is unique, and so is every budget. There isn't an exact cost we can quote to everyone, because every patient's mouth is different. Therefore, the costs vary on a case by case basis. Insurances will generally cover part of the cost of Invisalign treatment. You should check with your insurance company to see if they cover part or all of the treatment, but we're always happy to help here. At Irving Family Dental, we also offer financing to help patients pay over several months. This makes paying for Invisalign easier!

Length of your Invisalign treatment depends on the patient. Sometimes it is only necessary to use the system to close a few spaces or treat minor malocclusion. Because each case is different, treatment can last anywhere from as little as 3 months. In some cases treatment can last a little longer than 16 months
Typically each aligner is worn for a period of two weeks. However each course is specific to the patient and therefore your doctor will outline a specific plan or cycle for each patient.
Invisalign treatment is great for both teens and adults who’s malocclusion is ideal for treatment. Other problems may exist with a patient's bite that may require a more traditional orthodontic approach. Each patient should be evaluated on a case by case basis.
